The Classroom of the Future Foundation began an effort in June, 2001 to define and document requirements associated with development of a sophisticated Learning Technology System.

This system would be used by Districts throughout the County, and will support learning activities in various learning environments -- from the classroom, to home, and across the community.

The goal of the system is to: Build knowledge and competence that will significantly lift the achievement of every student.

Requirements for this system were captured through a series of facilitated sessions, where teachers met with the requirements team to jointly develop functional. Work groups were formed for the following topics:

  • Curriculum Development
  • Classroom Management/Student Records
  • Professional Development
  • Home-to-School
  • Implementation/Support/Infrastructure
